Ashley Milne

Business Advisory Assistant

Ashley joined the DC Consulting team in November 2021 as a Business Advisory Assistant.

Ashley developed her accountancy and taxations skills whilst working with an independent Accountancy firm in Dundee; during her time in this role, whilst building experience in Accountancy, Ashley also continued to develop clear organizational skills, which are key in terms of working with a myriad of clients.

These organizational skills, coupled with her strong client service ethic which grew from her time working with Lloyds Banking Group, enable her to provide a high level of service to both the DC Consulting Team and our Clients

Martyn McCabe

Corporate Business Analyst

Martyn joined DC Consulting in September 2022 as a Corporate Business Analyst having trained and gaining ACCA qualification with an independent firm in Dundee, where he joined after graduating from The University of Dundee.

During his time prior to joining DC Consulting, Martyn’s role was focused on assisting a range of clients with all aspects of accounting and taxation, thereby building a core base of technical accounting and analytical skills.

Martyn will utilise this skillset throughout all aspects of client work within DC Consulting, providing advice and support to clients in order for them to achieve their short, mid and long-term goals.

Outside of work, one of Martyn’s passions is football, playing for an amateur team in Dundee, having previously played in the junior league for nine years.

Andrew McCafferty

Director

Andrew McCafferty is an experienced business advisor with 20 years commercial experience of advising corporate clients on a broad range of finance, structure and strategy matters.
Andrew qualified as a CA in 1998 with KPMG and qualified as a CTA in 2001 shortly before joining DC Consulting in January 2003. Since joining DC Consulting, Andrew has advised on transactions with a combined value in excess of £150million GBP and continues to combine deal-making activity with business advisory assignments across a range of sectors including oil & gas, engineering, forestry and estates, construction, distribution and various service sectors.
A dynamic and creative CF professional, Andrew has a strong track record in creating innovative solutions and driving transactions to conclusion. Andrew maintains strong links to various funding partners in the UK and overseas.

Angus Hay

Director

The DC Consulting team brings together a distinctive range of skills and talents that make the company stand out from the crowd. All firmly grounded in corporate finance, the knowledge and experience of our team is a formidable force that is tailored specifically to meet the needs of each client.
Angus has been involved in the private equity market over the last 13 years as a lead advisor for a number of co-investment equity transactions. He has been instrumental in advising early stage and start-up companies on their strategy and business model to ensure their investor ready status.
Working with DC Consulting Angus delivers a wide range of services including: raising private equity and debt capital, assisting in management buy outs and buy ins, transaction support for acquisitions and disposals and acquisition and operational due diligence.
Angus uses his broad understanding of the financial and investment landscape to give companies assistance at board level and with the investment process in order for companies to implement and execute their growth plans for future exits. With DC Consulting’s portfolio of companies there has been over £140 million of returns to investors in the last 5 years alone.
Most recently Angus has been appointed as an Investment Director to Kelvin Capital Limited which is a Business Angel Syndicate.

Colin Kennedy

Director

Colin Kennedy MA, FCCA joined DC Consulting in 2011 and was appointed as a director and shareholder  of DC Consulting in 2018; Colin, provides commercial strategic business support services to a range of high growth SME’s and is lead adviser on numerous corporate finance assignments including MBO, equity raise and debt funding across arrange of sectors including retail, engineering, healthcare, recruitment, fashion and brewing industry sectors.

Colin qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2012, having previously trained as an Auditor where he led audit assignments and developed key analytical, accountancy skills and commercial awareness; these key skills are very much evident when advising our clients.

John Craig

Director

John P Craig BAcc (Hons) CA, has over 20 years of experience providing corporate finance and business advisory services to a range of high growth SMEs.

Key focus is on assisting these high growth companies to secure the appropriate level of investment, whilst on a Non-Exec basis, providing advice to these and other companies on all aspects of business strategy, financial reporting and management. Specialities include preparing investor ready funding propositions and in identifying and negotiating the appropriate mix of equity, debt and grant funding. John also brings strong experience of the M&A market, inclusive of deal sourcing, project management and specialise in providing tailored financial due diligence services for these transactions.  Since joining DC Consulting, John has advised on transactions with a combined value in excess of £75m across a myriad of sectors.

Prior to 2004, John spent a number of years as a Senior Audit Manager with Mazars, which assisted in developing my robust experience in the identification and implementation of financial systems and controls.

Finally, John also holds the position of non-executive Finance Director with a number of companies and assist them with their growth plans in a controlled manner, recognising the dynamic market that we operate in.

David Glen

Director

David joined DC Consulting in 2008 having trained and qualified with an independent CA firm in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. Now heading up DC’s Edinburgh office, David has a strong track record in supporting clients across a broad spectrum of assignments including helping clients to become ‘Investor Ready’ prior to guiding them through the raising of investment capital, incorporating equity, debt and grant funding.
David has specific expertise in raising grant funding, such as Regional Selective Assistance and SMART grants from the likes of Scottish Enterprise. David also adds further value to his clients in a business advisory capacity acting as Finance Advisor for a number of companies who require additional financial support following the conclusion of a successful investment round.

Dale Adamson

Corporate Business Analyst

Dale joined DC Consulting in August 2018 as Corporate Business Analyst and will bring his strong analytical skills to all aspects of client work within DC Consulting with the aim of continuing our key ethos of providing incisive commercial business advice and corporate finance solutions to aspirational entrepreneurs and ambitious business owners.
Dale developed his strong accountancy and taxation skills whilst training as an auditor with a local firm of chartered accountants. During this time, Dale has audited and prepared statutory accounts for a wide range on industry sectors, focussing on limited companies and corporation tax returns, including detailed R&D tax credit claims, whilst also gaining experience of charities.
Prior to this, Dale studied at The University of Dundee gaining an honours degree in Business Management with Accounting & Finance.

Greta Grigalaityte

Greta joined DC Consulting in November 2018. Having graduated with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance in 2012, Greta went on to work for a large independent firm of Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers where she gained her ACCA qualification and acquired her key analytical and accountancy skills.
Starting out in personal tax and moving on to the business advisory role and audits, Greta worked on different types of businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, covering a wide range of sectors. Here she also gained her experience in preparing statutory accounts for charitable organisations which has assisted Greta in her role as the Treasurer for the Mixed Martial Arts club in Dundee, where she also takes part in training.
Greta will utilise these key skills across all aspects of client work within DC Consulting with the aim of continuing the key ethos of providing incisive commercial business advice and corporate finance solutions to aspirational entrepreneurs and ambitious business owners.
